In October 2026, the landscape of sports channels on Telegram showed a notable decline, with a total growth of -4105 across the 49 channels tracked. Despite this overall downturn, there were significant movements among leading channels. "TENNIS TIPS (SUJAY BHAI❤️)" emerged as the top performer, gaining 7205 subscribers to reach a total of 35,898. Additionally, "THE CRICKET ARMY" also experienced growth, albeit on a smaller scale, increasing its subscriber count by 959 to arrive at 35,619. Meanwhile, "Gyani Pro" saw marginal growth with an increase of just 9 subscribers, totaling 21,120. Conversely, several channels experienced considerable subscriber losses. "Amit Majithia" faced a severe decline of 7750, bringing its subscriber base down to 352,259. This significant loss highlights the volatility within sports-related content on Telegram. "CRICBOUNCER TOSS LINE ™" and "CRICKET COMPASS(OFFICIAL)" also reported subscriber decreases of 1192 and 616, respectively, indicating that even established channels are not immune to fluctuations in viewer engagement. Interestingly, the month also saw the introduction of 59 new sports channels, suggesting a continuing interest in sports content. However, the overall subscriber attrition raises questions about the long-term viability of existing channels in maintaining or attracting viewer engagement amidst growing competition. The mixed performance highlights the challenges and opportunities within the sports channel segment on Telegram as it navigates a rapidly changing digital landscape.
